Liquide Post-Market Summary 16th October 2025

Benchmark indices extended gains for the second straight session, with the Nifty surpassing 25,600 intraday — its highest level since June 27. Broad-based buying helped markets test four-month highs, though late profit-booking trimmed some gains.

In the broader markets, the BSE Midcap index rose 0.3% and the Smallcap index gained 0.5%. Among sectors, all ended in the green except PSU Banks (-0.4%). Auto, Financials, FMCG, Realty, Private Banks and Consumer Durables led the rally, rising between 1–2%.

NIFTY: The index opened 71 points higher at 25,394 and made a high of 25,625 before closing at 25,585. Nifty has formed a long bullish candle on the daily chart. Its immediate resistance level is now placed at 25,650 while its immediate support is at 25,450.

BANK NIFTY: The index opened 340 points higher at 57,139 and closed at 57,422. Bank Nifty has formed a bullish candle with minor upper and lower shadows on the daily chart. Its immediate resistance level is now placed around 57,500 while immediate support is around 57,250.

Stocks in Spotlight

▪ BLS International Services: Stock surged 16.5% after winning a contract from the Ministry of External Affairs to operate Indian visa application centres in China.

▪ Huhtamaki India: Stock jumped over 12.5% as Q2 net profit soared 214% YoY to Rs 36.8 crore, even as revenue slipped 4% YoY to Rs 624.7 crore.

▪ Oberoi Realty: Stock rose more than 5% after reporting a 29% YoY rise in net profit to Rs 760.3 crore and a 35% increase in revenue to Rs 1,779 crore.

Global News

▪ European markets edged higher, supported by upbeat corporate earnings — notably Nestlé, which rallied after strong results.

▪ Oil prices remained stable as traders assessed the potential impact of India halting Russian oil imports, which could shift global supply dynamics.

▪ Gold extended its record-breaking rally, driven by U.S.-China trade tensions, the U.S. government shutdown, and expectations of Fed rate cuts, boosting demand for safe-haven assets.
